Sleeps Tips for New Parents

It’s no secret that the first year of motherhood can leave us feeling exhausted, fortunately it doesn’t last forever. Here are a few tips to make those first few months a little less exhausting and a little more restful.

Bedtime Routine
When you feel ready, creating a bedtime routine that you can put in place night after night, will help your little one to recognise when it’s time to sleep. A warm bath, reading a book and cuddles before bed creates a calming routine and will help your baby feel ready to sleep.

It is true that some babies may not like bath time in the early days, so why not try bath time in the morning when your baby is more willing to try new things. It may be helpful to do bath time for a few minutes at a time and build it up as your baby gets use to it. Why not make bath time fun by adding toys or bubbles?
