This book explains, in child friendly terms, that happiness isn't a destination to be achieved, but rather an overall state, with other emotions coming and going.
Filled with activities to develop an understanding of happiness, your child will discover ways to create a happier mindset and space to express happiness on paper.
The second half of the book is a gratitude journal, where there are 2 months worth of daily gratitude entries. Gratitude has been proven to help the brain develop a positive mindset and is a fantastic habit for children to develop early in life. Each entry asks your child to list 3 'Happy Things". These could be good things that happened or things they feel grateful for. It then asks them to write or draw about their favourite moment of the day and encourages them to use an NLP technique called anchoring as they think about this moment. This technique allows children to recall their happy feelings quickly when they need to rebalance emotionally in the future.
