Rosey Blossom all started after I had my little girl Freya, three and a half years ago. I have always had a passion for sewing and embroidery, probably influenced by my own Mama who would often make our clothes when my sisters and I were younger. She would often applique special characters on to our clothes that we had requested!
Before I became a Mama, I worked in the textile design industry, creating fashion and homeware prints and embroideries for some of the famous high street stores and brands such as Marks and Spencers and Jeff Banks.
Life changed once Freya was born and I had a desire to be a stay at home Mum and bring up my children as my Mum did. It just so happened that I decided to have a go at making her a dress from scratch. I was really chuffed when I created my first pinafore dress decorated with her favourite teddy Billy, which she loved!
I then started to explore different dress styles and embroidered designs and I received many lovely comments from friends who asked me to make dresses for their daughters.
I thought there may be an opportunity to combine my love of embroidery and design with something that worked around my growing family. So with the support from my husband and family I decided to create my own brand of clothing called Rosey Blossom.
Since then I have explored different themes, embroidery techniques and colours to create a range of dresses and accompanying bags to suit the seasons and more importantly little girls!
Now that I have a little boy called Oliver, I’m also passionate about developing a range of clothing for little boys. He loves wearing his dungarees.
I hope you like my range of clothing and accessories but if you have any requests please feel free to contact me to discuss as I’m always happy to oblige.
Marketing is such a massive part of starting a new business and making it successful, I think I underestimated this! Competitions are a great way of drawing people in and attracting new customers.
