Witty Ditty Designs was created in 2015 but thought up many years before that.

I have a passion for writing funny little stories and rhymes, usually triggered by funny events in my own life – like my attempt at trying every-which-way possible to catch a mouse, (humanely of course!) which led to one of my 'What Am I?' rhyming cushions. Or capturing the sheer joy of my little stepson with his wobbly tooth who knew the tooth fairy would visit and leave a few quid if he could just help it along a little!

For years, dozens of my stories lay hidden in a virtual drawer, until in 2011, I joined a volunteer program, helping little children who found reading difficult, to improve.

Over the next three years, I saw how frustrating it could be for some of the children to be pulled out of class for a reading session, and noticed how helping them enjoy coming the sessions more, in turn, aided their reading progress. It was at this time I started to think of ‘fun’ innovative ways to help a child learn to read.

So for these children, and for those who have no difficulties and just love to read, Witty Ditty Designs was founded. Our mission is to spread witty rhymes everywhere and on everything, for all children, and the grownups in their lives, to enjoy.
