Willa and Bobbin is a handmade, design led soft furnishing boutique for babies nurseries and children's rooms: Mobiles, cushions and wall decor. All of which are handmade with the wonderful Liberty of London fabric and Vintage fabrics.
It wasn't until I was pregnant with my first - the real life Willa! - in 2011 that I learnt to sew and found my passion. My obsession for fabric shops and Liberty of London haberdashery department really got into full swing at this point.
Sewing takes me to another world - where there are no boundaries or rules, just wild imagination, lots of fabric and one sewing machine!
Fast-forward to 2015 Willa (she also had a baby brother by now!) requested that I make her a cushion one very rainy March afternoon. So not wanting to disappoint; we sat together and designed a personalised cushion using Liberty print fabric. It was this afternoon that Willa and Bobbin was founded.
So under the watchful eye of my four-year-old creative director, we have gone on to develop the brand further adding in mobiles and wall decor. All of Willa and Bobbin's products are handmade by myself in my studio based in Surrey.
I'm very passionate about supporting UK based companies when sourcing fabrics, haberdashery and wadding and strive to do so wherever possible to truly make every Willa and Bobbin product a lovingly handmade bespoke gift from the United Kingdom.
