Hello, my name is Kathryn and I trained as a graphic designer at St Martins School of Art, in London and worked for many years as a designer of corporate branding, brochures, advertising etc for SMEs and charities, until the family came along. It was then time to strike out on my own as a freelance and that’s what I have been doing ever since - making my working life fit around my wonderful family. The kids are now pretty much grown but as many mums will know, they never stop needing you, so to be able to work from home and always be here whenever they need me has been an absolute gift. I have always loved surface pattern design, particularly when applied to textiles and this passion eventually led to a change of direction for me and a whole range of textiles which I am very proud of. I have been hugely inspired by ‘kitchen table’ businesses that have sprung up in recent years, offering something a little different to the mainstream for enhancing peoples homes and I hope to offer something that brings a smile as well as being beautifully decorative and made with integrity, a love of the raw materials and attention to detail. Everything you see in the Keylime shop is hand made with materials sourced only in the UK from other small likeminded businesses. Quality is paramount and if you buy something with the Keylime tag on it you can be sure you will be receiving an item that has been created with love. Sounds soppy but its true!
