Climbing Trees Kids
I set up ClimbingTreesKids with my 7 year old daughter, Brooke. We run the business from home. Frustrated with stereotypical clothing designed for little girls, and having struggled for years to find clothes in the girls’ aisle that my dinosaur-loving football-fanatic daughter loved, we decided to launch our own range featuring the dinosaurs, monsters and pirates that were once exclusive to boys' clothing.In doing so, Climbing Trees Kids aims to give children a choice not previously offered to them whilst enabling them to escape the limited definitions that retailers box them into. The Climbing Trees range of brightly-coloured custom-made t-shirts feature motifs that have, until now, been reserved for ‘boys only’.
Good planning and gratitude. It’s a blessing to be able to work from 9 til 3pm and then be full-time mummy from school run pick-up until bedtime, and then do a bit of work on the occasional evening, while my little one is asleep. But I couldn't juggle it all if I didn't plan everything out and schedule everything in on a Sunday night. If I don’t write it down I tend to forget it.
