Playful Little Places
Local curtain maker Becky Powell has launched her own range of fabulous children's Teepees. Playful Little Places of Teignmouth, Devon design Teepees that allow children to explore, imagine and dream in their own space.
The Teepees are handmade using 100% cotton fabrics in a variety of designs. Each comes with a personalised flag. Becky owner of Inspired Curtains in Teignmouth has been creating handmade curtains and blinds for over 15 years and has now turned her hand to children's products.
I try to involve my kids with my work where I'm able to. I ask them what they would like to see on one of the Teepees. They are great critics and get to test out each design. It is difficult to juggle both family and work but I guess it's about getting a balance. I am lucky that although I work hard and often work evenings I can work my diary around the children I get to pick them up at school time so my working day ends here and it’s all about the kids till bedtime. A great new year’s resolution that has been really worthwhile is to make sure that we have a family day once a month.
