Ink and Scribbles is a child wellbeing and parenting focused business, creating products that help parents connect with their children and support them emotionally.
Breathe. And remember, they need you. Just you!
The Little Book of You, Me and My Feelings is a very special journal for parents to share with their child. Together, you will explore emotions, build your connection and teach your child tools for emotional wellbeing, through activities and journaling.
The Little Book of You, Me and My Feelings is packed with content that covers several areas of wellbeing, including developing the parent and child connection, self awareness, understanding emotions, emotional regulation and introductions to journalling for positive thinking and gratitude! The book is aimed at children approx 6 - 11 years and contains 6 sections, each approaching child wellbeing from a different angle. Section headings include:
YOU AND ME
A section that develops the special relationship between parents and children, encouraging conversations and connection.
UNDERSTANDING MYSELF
Pages for parents and children to work through promoting self awareness, self compassion and growth mindset. 'Our growth mindset challenge' is included. GRATITUDE JOURNAL
A section that encourages children to develop gratitude and positive thinking. There is enough daily entry space to last for 3 weeks and allows parents to enter their own thoughts alongside their child's.
MY GOALS
A short section for goal setting, teaching children they can achieve.
MY FEELINGS & MY FEELINGS PART 2
This two part section helps your child develop an awareness and understanding of their emotions and triggers. The pages explore how emotions can impact behaviour, dealing with worries and understanding the cause of difficult feelings. The second part of this section contains further pages that can be used plan specific responses and find solutions to challenging emotions that suits your child.
MY WEEKLY JOURNAL
This section is an early introduction to journaling, showing children that writing about their day helps them unwind and reflect positively. We know that life is busy for families and that younger children don't necessarily want to journal daily, so we have included 12 weekly entry pages that are guided with questions and all include an 'Achievement of the Week' box. We've created variety within the journal by alternating 'Positive thought of the day', 'The Weekly Question' and a range of growth mindset points to ponder! A positivity challenge is included at the end of this section.
